JA33-43 fan, BOS1490

This fan fails with age making a really quite scary screeching noise shortly after the boiler first lights, or by simply refusing to run at all. The motor is failing and fitting a new fan is the usual course of action. Except the fan has now been discontinued as a spare part by J&S. 

This is quite a common problem and I refurbish Johnson and Starley fans to get around this problem. If you send me yours I’ll dismantle and clean it, then reassemble it with a brand new motor and return it to you, usually taking me around 48 hours. Cost to refurbish a BOS01490 fan from a JA33-43 will be £436.00 including a new motor, VAT, return postage and 12 month ‘return to workshop’ warranty.
