1000-0500370 and 1000-0500375 J32 fan assembly

Discontinued but still repairable…

These two fans are interchangeable and fit several Johnson & Starley warm air boilers including the J25-32, the HI-SPEC J32, the HI-SPEC M31, the Economaire 31 and Economaire 32.

You may be pleased to read that a failed 1000-0500370 or 1000-0050375 fan can be repaired and restored to full working order saving the boiler from needing replacement, even though new fans are no longer available.

When the fan fails, you either get no air at all coming from the warm air vents in your house, or the boiler makes a most alarming screeching noise when it comes on. If yours is doing this and you’ve been told you need a whole new boiler, or a new heating system with radiators even, this is not entirely true.

These fans have an electric motor and it is the motor which actually seizes up or makes the screeching noise, and fans can be re-built with a new motor which in turn saves you from needing a whole new boiler.

I repair these fans regularly so if you are within driving distance of me in Wiltshire, I can visit and repair your fan, and save you from needing a new boiler.

Its not just the 1000-0500370 fan I can resurrect. Almost any Johnson and Starley warm air boiler fan can be fixed.

If yours needs repairing, call or send me a text on 07866 766364.

P.S.

I can usually repair yours by post if you are too far away for me to visit. The cost to refurbish your Johnson and Starley fan by post including fitting a brand new motor with new, quiet bearings is £372.00. This includes VAT and postage back to you by secure Royal Mail Special Delivery. (This price depends on your fan turning out to be repairable on arrival. Nearly all are but I need to point out very occasionally a failed fan is unsuitable for refurbishment, in which case I’ll post it back to you free of charge.)

P.P.S.

This is the same fan as BOS00528 which fits the Johnson and Starley J25-32 MkIII warm air boiler. The two fans are fully interchangeable. Beware the MkII and MkI versions of the J25-32 which may have a different fan (also repairable!)
