1000-0516580 and 1000-0516585 fan assembly for JT19/25 and similar

These fans are discontinued products but I can refurbish yours…

These two fans with the similar part numbers are almost indistinguishable from each other and fully interchangeable. Also interchangeable with fan BOS02064. These all fit a number of older Johnson and Starley boilers, the most common being the JT19/25, the Hi-Spec J25 and the Economaire 25.

When this fan fails, it either seizes and won’t rotate at all meaning you get no warm air at all from the warm air vents around your house, or it squeaks alarmingly, mainly when it first comes on. If yours is doing either and you’ve been told you need a new boiler, or a new heating system with radiators even, this is not entirely true. 

These fans have an electric motor and it is the motor which actually seizes up or makes the squeaking noise. The motor can be dismantled, re-lubricated and reassembled or the fan can be re-built with a brand new motor which in turn saves you from needing a new boiler or heating system.

I repair and refurbish Johnson and Starley warm air fans regularly so if you are within driving distance of me in Wiltshire, I can usually visit and exchange your failing fan for a refurbished fan I already have in stock. Call (or better, text me) for details. 

Its not just this particular fan I can resurrect. Most Johnson and Starley warm air boiler fans can be fixed. also fans from some Balmforth warm air boilers, and possibly Lennox too but I’d need to see them here in the workshop to say for sure.
